Set up payouts and cash out

Connect your payout account, cash out your earnings, and see the minimums, Stripe costs and timing.

To get your commissions into your bank, you set up a payout account once, then cash out whenever your balance is ready. This works the same for affiliates and ambassadors.

✨ Quick answer: on the Member side, click Payouts in the left sidebar, then Set up payout account and finish Stripe's short form. When your available balance reaches the minimum, click Cash out. Your money is usually sent about 8 days later.

Switch to the Member side

Switch to the Member side: use the Creator / Member toggle in the account card at the bottom of the left sidebar. If you don't have a portal, you're already there. On a phone, tap the menu at the top-left first.

Click Payouts

Click Payouts in the left sidebar. (This is your partner Payouts page. The Payouts item on the Creator side is for your own portal's sales.)

Choose your country

Click Set up payout account (or Set up your payout account now if you haven't earned anything yet) and choose your country.

Finish verification

Complete the steps under Finish verification. Stripe asks for basic identity details and your bank account. It takes a few minutes.

Wait for approval

Stripe reviews your details. You'll see Under review, then Payout account active once you're approved, and we'll email you.

⚠️ Heads up: pick your country carefully. Before you've earned anything, you can start over: on the Payouts page, click Wrong country? Reset payout account, then Reset account. Once you've started earning, message us from Help & feedback to change it.

Your payout account is separate from any account you use to sell as a creator. You can change your bank details any time on the Member side in Settings → Payout account, or with Manage payout account on the Payouts page.

Open Payouts

Open Payouts. Your Available balance is what you can cash out now.

Click Cash out

Click Cash out. A breakdown shows every Stripe cost and what you'll receive.

Confirm the cash out

Click Cash out again to confirm. One click requests everything that's ready, across all the creators you promote.

You'll get an email when your request is in, and another when the money is sent.

Your balances count together: once everything you've earned adds up to $25 in US dollars, it all goes out in one cash out, whatever currencies it's in. The amounts in the table only apply on their own to a currency we can't convert yet. The Payouts page always shows how far you have to go.

🧮 What it costs

AloPortal takes nothing from a cash out. What comes off is Stripe's own cost of moving the money, at the price Stripe charges us:

  • $0.25 + 0.25% per payout to your bank

  • $2 once a month, on your first cash out that month

  • 0.25% if your account is outside the US

If your bank account isn't in US dollars, Stripe converts your money when it arrives and keeps about 1% of it. That's Stripe's charge, taken on arrival; AloPortal takes nothing for it, and the cash-out window tells you before you confirm.

Because some of these are flat, a small cash out costs more as a share. Letting your balance grow, or cashing out once a month, keeps more of it in your pocket.

⏱️ Timing

  • A new commission first clears before it's available to cash out. How long depends on your account's track record: 30 days for new accounts, 14 days once you're established, 7 days for trusted accounts, and up to 60 days if an account needs a closer look. Your Payouts page shows your own number.

  • Once you cash out, the money is usually sent about 8 days later. This short hold protects against fraud and late refunds.

  • After that, Stripe deposits it to your bank. Allow a few more business days, depending on your bank and country.

  • You can have one cash out in progress at a time for each balance.

❓ Questions

The message tells you why. Usually part of it is still clearing (it shows the date it becomes available) or the total is under the minimum.

Each creator charges in their own currency, so if you promote creators who use different currencies, you earn in each of them. Payouts adds everything up into one balance in US dollars, at the rate Stripe actually gives us, and pays it all out together in one cash out. Tap By currency to see the original amounts. If your bank account isn't in US dollars, you also see about how much lands in your bank.

The amber On hold label on Payouts means cash outs are paused for now. Your earnings are safe and keep adding up. The box under it says why, and there are two reasons:

  • You recently added or changed your bank account. To keep your money safe if someone else got into your account, cash outs pause for 3 days after a bank change. The box shows the date they open again, and it lifts by itself. The first bank you add when you set up payouts doesn't start this wait.

  • We're taking a quick look at your account. Our team paused cash outs while they check something. Message us from Help & feedback if you have questions.

While your account is new, each cash out has a limit. If your balance is over it, we pay out up to the limit and the rest stays in your balance for your next cash out. You'll see a note telling you how much stayed behind. Only if a single commission is bigger than the limit does our team check it by hand: message us from Help & feedback and we'll release it as soon as we can.

We'll email you. It's usually a bank detail that needs fixing. Update it in Settings → Payout account, and the money goes out again with your next payout.
