You've already made great content. Connect the accounts you post on, and Alo AI can turn it into posts, courses and portal pages for you, without starting from a blank page.

✨ Quick answer: on the Creator side, click Settings in the left sidebar, open the Connectors tab and click Connect Instagram, Connect TikTok or Connect YouTube. On a phone, tap the menu at the top-left first. You can also connect from the Alo AI chat when it asks.

πŸ”’ Read-only, always

βœ… Good to know: Alo AI can only read your content. It never posts, comments or sends messages for you, and nothing it makes goes live until you approve it.

Platform

How to connect

What Alo AI can use

Instagram

Click Connect Instagram and sign in. You need a free Creator or Business account.

Your posts, captions, photos and videos

TikTok

Click Connect TikTok and sign in.

Your video titles, descriptions and cover images

YouTube

Click Connect YouTube and sign in with the Google account that owns your channel.

Your channel's name and handle, and your video titles, descriptions, thumbnails and publish dates. Your videos also show first whenever you pick a YouTube video for a post, lesson, cover or your page. Alo AI can also watch your public videos when you approve it. If you connected earlier by pasting a channel link, disconnect and connect again with Google to turn this on.

Once connected, just ask: "turn my last 5 Instagram posts into portal posts" or "build a course outline from my YouTube videos".

⚠️ Heads up: TikTok doesn't share video files. To use a TikTok video with Alo AI, download it and upload it in the chat. TikTok is also still reviewing our app, so for now only invited accounts can connect it. YouTube videos are different: you never download them. Alo AI adds them to posts, lessons and your page by their link. See Use your YouTube videos with Alo AI.

▢️ YouTube and your data

  • Read-only. When you sign in, Google asks you to allow View your YouTube account. That's all we ask for: Alo AI can't upload, edit, delete, comment, like or subscribe.

  • YouTube's rules apply. By connecting, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's use of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy, and ours in the AloPortal Privacy Policy.

  • Kept for 30 days at most. We keep your channel details and video lists for at most 30 days unless we refresh them from YouTube, and we delete them when we can't.

  • Disconnecting deletes it. When you disconnect, we remove our access at Google (if you signed in with Google) and delete the channel name, the list of videos you imported, the video lists Alo AI was shown and what Alo AI learned from watching your videos. Nothing on YouTube is deleted, and posts you already made stay as they are.

  • If you signed in with Google, you can also remove our access any time in your Google security settings.

βš™οΈ Disconnect any time

1

Open Connectors

On the Creator side (the Creator / Member switch is at the bottom of the left sidebar), click Settings in the sidebar, then the Connectors tab.

2

Disconnect the account

Click Disconnect next to the account and confirm.

Alo AI stops using that account straight away. Anything you've already created stays as it is. If a connection expires, you'll see Reconnect next to it.

❓ Questions

Yes, importing uses Alo AI credits like any other request. For a big batch, Alo AI tells you roughly what it'll cost before it starts. See Alo AI credits and top-ups.

Personal Instagram accounts can't connect. Switch to a Creator or Business account in the Instagram app (it's free), then try again.

Please only connect a channel you own. Alo AI is there to help you reuse your own work.

No. Connectors are only for Alo AI. Signing in works the same way as before.
