Pick a theme, then make it yours with wallpapers, buttons, fonts and a header that fits your brand.

Your portal should look like you. Start from a theme, then tune the wallpaper, buttons and text until it feels right. You see every change live in the preview as you go.

💡 Quick answer: in the portal designer, switch from Blocks to Design, pick a theme, tweak it, then press Save all.

🛠️ Change your look

Switch to Design

Click Portal designer in the left sidebar and switch the Blocks / Design toggle at the top to Design. On a phone, tap the menu at the top-left, then Portal designer, then Design in the bottom bar.

Pick a theme

Pick a starting point under Theme. A theme sets the wallpaper, buttons and fonts all at once.

Fine-tune the details

Fine-tune any piece in Wallpaper, Buttons and Text.

Press Save all

Press Save all in the save bar (or Ctrl+S / ⌘S). Visitors see your new look right away.

✅ Good to know: your changes stay a draft until you save, so you can experiment freely. Changed your mind? Press Discard to go back to what's live.

⚙️ What you can customize

Section	Options
Theme	11 ready-made looks. AloPortal, Minimal Light and Minimal Dark are on every plan; 8 more (like Sunset, Ocean, Neon and Y2K Chrome) are Pro.
Wallpaper	A solid fill or a gradient on every plan. Patterns, your own image and a background video are Pro.
Buttons	Solid or outline style, corner roundness, shadow, and button colours. The glass style is Pro.
Text	A page font and a title font (11 to choose from), title size, and text colours.

🚀 Your profile header

Your photo, name and bio sit at the top of your portal. To edit them, switch back to Blocks and click the pencil button (Edit profile header) on your header at the top of the page.

Photo: upload a square picture of you or your brand.
Layout: a round avatar, or a full-width Hero banner that blends into your background (Pro).
Title: show your name as text, or replace it with your logo (Pro).
Bio: a short tagline under your name, up to 160 characters.

💳 What needs Pro

Pro unlocks the premium themes, pattern, image and video wallpapers, glass buttons, and the hero and logo header layouts. On any plan you can try a Pro style in the preview first; saving it needs an active Pro plan.

⚠️ Heads up: if your plan moves off Pro, visitors see a free style in place of your Pro wallpaper, buttons or header. Your design is kept, so upgrading again brings it straight back.

❓ Questions

What size can my images be?

Wallpaper images can be PNG, JPG or WebP up to 5 MB. Your profile photo and logo can be up to 1 MB. We shrink large images automatically before uploading.

Can I use a video as my background?

Yes, on Pro. Upload an MP4, MOV or WebM up to 200 MB. Clips longer than 30 seconds can be trimmed right in your browser. It appears after about a minute of processing.

Can I remove the AloPortal footer?

Not at the moment. Every portal shows a small AloPortal link at the bottom.

Can Alo AI design it for me?

Yes. Ask Alo AI for a vibe, like "dark and minimal", and it updates your Design tab as a draft for you to review and save.
