Preview, save and undo in the portal designer

How drafts, the save bar, Discard and Undo work, and how to preview your portal the way visitors see it.

Edit freely: nothing you change in the portal designer (Portal designer in the left sidebar) goes live until you save. Here's how drafts, saving and previewing work.

💡 Quick answer: your changes collect in the save bar at the bottom. Press Save all (or Ctrl+S / ⌘S) to put them live, or Discard to go back to what's live.

⚙️ The save bar

  • It appears as soon as you change something, and counts your unsaved changes.

  • One Save all saves everything at once: blocks, design, plans, your profile and portal settings.

  • If something can't save, the bar says Fix the errors to save. Use Jump to block or the arrows to go straight to each problem.

✅ Good to know: drafts are kept on your device. Close the tab or lose your connection and your changes are still there when you come back. Save once you're back online.

🛠️ Discard and undo

Press Discard

Press Discard in the save bar. If you have 3 or more changes, or changes made with Alo AI, we ask you to confirm first.

Read the message

A message shows how many changes were discarded, with an Undo button for a few seconds.

Click Undo

Click Undo to bring back your blocks and profile changes.

⚠️ Heads up: Undo doesn't bring back discarded design, plan or settings changes. Alo AI credits used for discarded work aren't refunded.

📊 Preview like a visitor

  • The phone preview beside your editor updates as you type.

  • Above the phone preview, switch from You to Visitor to see locked content the way fans do, as teasers.

  • On your phone, tap Preview in the bottom bar.

❓ Questions

We ask first. Most changes stay as a draft on your device, but unsaved plan layout and media order changes are lost when you leave.

If another tab saved first, we tell you. Choose Keep mine and save or Reload latest.

Not step by step. Discard takes you back to what's live, and Undo restores what you just discarded.
