Turn your Discord server or Telegram group into a members-only community. Members join from your portal, and when their membership ends, the AloPortal bot takes care of the rest.

✨ Quick answer: in the portal designer, add a Discord or Telegram section from Monetization, connect your server or group, then click Set up to put it behind a plan.

πŸš€ Connect Discord

1

Add a Discord section

On the Creator side, click Portal designer in the left sidebar. On the Portal tab, add Discord from the Monetization group of the elements panel on the left. On a phone, tap the menu at the top-left to reach Portal designer, then tap Add in the bottom bar.

2

Click Connect Discord

Click Connect Discord and choose a server you own or manage. Approve the AloPortal bot and its permissions.

3

Create a paid role

In Discord, create a role for paying members (for example "Premium") and lock your private channels to it. Keep the AloPortal role above this role in your server's role list.

4

Pick the role and save

Back in AloPortal, pick that role under Paid access role, then press Save all in the save bar.

πŸš€ Connect Telegram

1

Add a Telegram section

In Portal designer, on the Portal tab, add Telegram from the Monetization group (on a phone, tap Add in the bottom bar) and choose channel or group.

2

Make it private

Make your channel or group private in Telegram.

3

Add the bot as admin

Add the AloPortal bot as an admin with Invite users via link turned on (and Ban users for groups).

4

Send the connection code

Click Get a connection code and send the code as a message in your channel or group within 5 minutes. You'll see Telegram connected.

πŸ’³ Put it behind a plan

On the section, click Set up under Monetize this content. Choose which plans include it, or sell access as a one-time unlock. Anyone with an active membership on one of those plans can join.

βœ… Good to know: Discord and Telegram sections are included on every plan, including your free trial.

Joining

The member clicks Join on your portal and approves with Discord. The bot adds them and gives them your paid role.

The member clicks Join on your portal and gets a personal, one-time invite link.

Membership ends

The bot removes your paid role, so they lose your private channels.

The bot removes them, as long as Remove people when access ends is on (it is by default).

Coming back

They resubscribe and click Join again.

They resubscribe and click Join for a fresh link.

Access ends when the membership really ends: a member who cancels keeps access until the end of the period they paid for. While a payment is being retried, they keep access too.

⚠️ Heads up: the Discord Invite QR code and the Telegram Shareable join link let anyone in, even without a membership. Share your portal link instead so only members join.
