Membership plans let fans pay you every week, month or year (or once, for lifetime access) to unlock your members-only content. Here's how to set one up.

✨ Quick answer: on the Creator side, open Portal designer, click the Plans tab above the canvas, click Add plan, set a name and a price, then press Save all.

πŸ› οΈ Create a plan

1

Open Portal designer

On the Creator side, click Portal designer in the left sidebar. On a phone, tap the menu at the top-left first.

2

Click the Plans tab

Click the Plans tab above the canvas (next to Portal, Media, Posts and Courses).

3

Add a plan

No plans yet? Click Create your first plan. If you see Set up payouts instead, pick your payout country first. Already have plans? Click the Add plan tile under them and pick a starting point: Start from scratch, Simple monthly, Monthly or yearly or Lifetime access.

4

Edit on the plan card

On a computer, edit right on the plan card: click the name, the description or the button text to change them, and click the price to open the Pricing window. There, under Billing Options, choose Recurring or One-time and set your price and Billing cycle.

5

On a phone, tap the pencil

On a phone, tap the pencil on the plan card to open Edit plans. You'll find Plan name, Description, Call to action and Billing Options there.

6

Press Save all

Press Save all in the save bar. Your plan is live on your portal.

⚠️ Heads up: you need to set up payouts before you can create a plan. See Connect your Stripe account.

βš™οΈ Options you can set

Option

What it does

Billing cycles

Offer weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, every 6 months or yearly. Add more than one so fans can choose.

One-time (lifetime)

Fans pay once and keep access for good.

Free trial

Give new members a set number of free days. Billing starts when the trial ends. On a computer, click οΌ‹ Free trial on the plan card.

One-time setup fee

Charged once with the first payment, on top of the recurring price. Set it in the Pricing window.

Member cap

Limit how many people can join, for small groups or coaching. On a computer, click οΌ‹ Member cap on the plan card. On a phone it's Cap total subscribers.

Membership terms

Your own terms, shown to fans before they join. Set them in Portal settings (the gear at the top of the designer, or Settings in the bottom bar on a phone), on the Terms tab.

As you set a price, the editor shows an estimate of what you'll keep after fees.

πŸ’³ Prices and plan counts

  • The lowest price per payment is $3 USD (or about the same in your currency, for example C$4).

  • Recurring plans go up to $200 a month to start. Need more for coaching or a premium offer? Click Request a higher limit in the Pricing window and our team reviews it.

  • On the free trial and Basic, you can have up to 3 membership plans. On Pro, up to 4, the most a portal can hold.

πŸ”’ What members get

A plan unlocks whatever you choose to put behind it: posts, courses, media, links and your private Discord or Telegram community. When you add something to your portal, the Access & pricing window asks which plans can see it. Members see it as soon as they join.

πŸ‘₯ When members leave, pause or get blocked

  • Cancelling: members keep access until the end of the period they paid for. There's no refund for the days left.

  • Pausing: members can take a break for 1, 2 or 3 months. The pause starts when their paid period ends, they have no access while paused, and it picks back up by itself.

  • Blocking: if you block someone, their membership ends right away and they're refunded for the unused part of their current period. You can choose to refund their last payment in full instead.

βœ… Good to know: changing a price never changes what current members pay. They keep their price, and new members get the new one.

❓ Questions

Yes. You can edit the name, description and prices, and add new billing options. To protect current members, you can't switch between recurring and one-time or remove an option someone is paying for.

It stops taking new members. You choose whether current members keep their subscription (recommended) or whether it winds down. Your records stay.

On the Creator side, click Dashboard in the left sidebar, then the Subscribers tab. You can filter by active, paused, cancelled and expired.
