Brand your emails and send from your own domain
On Pro, set your sender name, reply-to, logo and colour, and send fan emails from your own domain.

Make every email your fans get look and feel like it came from you. On Pro, you can add your own name, logo and colour, and even send from your own domain, like hello@yourbrand.com.
β¨ Quick answer: on the Creator side, open Portal designer, click the gear icon (Portal settings), go to Mailing and turn on Brand your fan emails.

Open Portal settings
On the Creator side, click Portal designer in the left sidebar, then the gear icon (Portal settings) in the designer's top bar. On a phone, tap the menu at the top-left to reach Portal designer, then tap Settings in the bottom bar.
Turn on branding
Go to the Mailing tab and turn on Brand your fan emails.
Add your sender details
Under Sender, add your Sender name and a Reply-to email so replies land in your inbox.
Add your branding
Under Branding, add an Email logo, a Brand color and an Email signature.
Press Save all
Press Save all in the save bar.
Your branding applies to broadcasts, receipts, renewal reminders and the other emails your subscribers get from you. Under Email messages, you can also add a short personal note to a specific email, like a welcome message on the receipt.

By default, your emails come from AloPortal's address. Sending from your own domain looks more professional and helps your emails reach more inboxes.
Find Send from your own domain
On the Mailing tab, find Send from your own domain.
Enter your domain
Enter a domain you own, like mail.yourbrand.com, and click Authenticate domain.
Add the DNS records
Copy the records shown and add them at the company where you manage your domain (your domain or DNS provider).
Verify and set your address
Click I've added them, verify. Once it says verified, enter your From address and click Save.
Turn on your domain
Turn on Send fan emails from this domain.
β οΈ Heads up: new domain records can take up to 48 hours to work. If it says pending DNS, give it some time and click verify again.

No. Broadcasts work on every plan and send from AloPortal's address by default. Your own domain is an optional Pro upgrade. If you're not on Pro, the sender box in Broadcasts says "Sending from the shared AloPortal address. Your own sender name and domain are part of Pro." with an "Upgrade to Pro" link.

Your emails keep going out, using AloPortal's standard name, address and look. Your settings are kept, so they come back if you return to Pro.

Not as the sender, since you need to own the domain. You can use any address you like as your Reply-to email, though.
