Cards expire and banks say no sometimes. Here's how to keep your membership running smoothly.

✨ Quick answer: on the Member side, go to Settings β†’ Memberships, tap the creator, then Billing & invoices. You can update your card there.

πŸ› οΈ Update your card

1

Sign in to AloPortal

Sign in to AloPortal. You land on the Member side (also a creator? Switch with the Creator / Member toggle at the bottom of the left sidebar).

2

Tap the creator

Click Settings in the left sidebar, then the Memberships tab, and tap the creator. On a phone, tap the menu at the top-left first.

3

Tap Billing & invoices

Tap Billing & invoices. A secure Stripe page opens.

4

Add your new card

Add your new card and save. Next time you renew, the new card is charged.

Each membership has its own billing, because you pay each creator directly. If you've joined several creators, update the card on each one.

πŸ’³ If a payment fails

  1. We email you right away so you can fix it. The email tells you that your membership ends if the payment keeps failing.

  2. The payment is retried automatically over the next few days.

  3. Your access stays on while we retry.

  4. If the final retry fails too, your membership ends and you lose access.

⚠️ Heads up: the quickest fix is updating your card as soon as you get the email. If your bank asks you to confirm a payment, follow the steps it shows you.

❓ Questions

Try another card, or contact your bank. Nothing is charged when a payment doesn't go through.

Yes. Go back to the creator's portal and join again with a working card.

No. A retry charges the same renewal once. We email you when it's sorted.
