Cancel your plan and read-only mode

How to cancel your AloPortal plan, what keeps working in read-only mode, and how to come back.

Need a break? You can cancel your AloPortal plan any time. Your page stays live and your members keep what they paid for, so nobody is left out in the cold.

✨ Quick answer: go to Settings → Subscription → Cancel plan. Your plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for, then your portal turns read-only: still live, still selling, with editing paused.

🛠️ How to cancel

Open Subscription settings

On the Creator side, click Settings in the left sidebar, then the Subscription tab. On a phone, tap the menu at the top-left first to see the sidebar.

Click Cancel plan

Click Cancel plan, the small link on your plan card next to Manage billing. We show you exactly what will change, including any Pro features that will be hidden.

Confirm on Stripe

Click Continue to cancel and confirm on Stripe's secure billing page. (On a free trial with a card added, it cancels right away, with no Stripe page.)

Your plan keeps running until the end of the period you've paid for. Plans aren't refunded for the time that's left, and nothing else is charged.

✅ Changed your mind? Before your plan ends, click Undo cancellation on your plan card and carry on as if nothing happened.

⚠️ Heads up: uploaded videos are kept for 180 days after your plan ends. If you haven't chosen a plan by then, they're deleted. We email you a week before.

Open Subscription settings

On the Creator side, click Settings in the left sidebar, then the Subscription tab. On a phone, tap the menu at the top-left first to see the sidebar.

Choose a plan and pay

Click Choose Basic or Choose Pro and pay.

Your new plan starts straight away, and editing, uploads, Alo AI and broadcasts come back at once, along with anything that was hidden.

No. Your members keep their access and their subscriptions carry on as normal.

Plans aren't refunded for the time that's left. Instead, your plan keeps working right up to the end of the period you've paid for.

Not straight away. While Stripe tries your card again, your plan keeps working and nothing changes. We email you and show a notice in your dashboard on the first failed try and on the last one. Your portal turns read-only only if Stripe stops retrying and the payment still hasn't gone through. Update your card from Settings → Subscription → Manage billing and you're back to normal.

No. Cancelling keeps your page live. To take it down, close it: on the Creator side open Portal designer, click the gear button (Portal settings), and on the Portal tab click Close portal. On a phone, tap SETTINGS in the bottom bar instead of the gear. Or delete your whole account from Settings → Account.
