What fans see at checkout

How fans pay you, which payment methods they can use, and the receipts and emails they get.

Checkout happens right on your page, under your name. Here's what a fan goes through when they join a plan, unlock something or send a tip.

✨ Quick answer: fans sign in with a code sent to their email, see a clear order summary and pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. They get a receipt by email straight away.

Pick something

A plan, an unlock button or a tip amount.

Sign in

They enter their email and the code we send them. No password needed. Or they continue with Google or Facebook. Tips can also be sent anonymously.

Give their name

If we don't have it yet, they enter a first and last name. Google and Facebook usually fill it in, so many fans skip this. It's the name you see in your Subscribers list and course students, along with their email.

Check the summary

It shows the price, the billing cycle, any free trial or setup fee, and any tax.

Agree to your terms

Agree to your terms, if you've added membership terms to your plans.

Pay

Access unlocks as soon as the payment goes through.

💳 How fans can pay

  • Credit and debit cards.

  • Apple Pay and Google Pay, on devices that support them.

  • Link, Stripe's saved checkout, once Stripe turns it on for your account.

Fans pay in your portal's checkout currency. Their card statement shows your name, not ours.

⚠️ Heads up: if you collect sales tax, fans are also asked for their billing address so the right tax can be added.

📧 Emails fans get

  • A receipt for every payment: memberships, renewals, one-time unlocks and tips.

  • A reminder about 30 days before a yearly membership renews, and a reminder before a free trial ends.

  • A heads-up if a renewal payment fails, with a way to update their card.

⚙️ After they pay

Members manage everything from their own account, on the Member side under Settings → Memberships and Settings → Purchases: they can see their memberships and purchases, update their card, download invoices, pause, change plan or cancel. You don't need to do anything for them.

✅ Good to know: your public page and checkout can show in English, French or Spanish. To choose, open Portal designer, click the gear (Portal settings; on a phone, Settings in the bottom bar), pick a Language on the Portal tab and press Save all. Your own content stays in your words.
